Grand Tourist Center Kopaonik also maintains complete infrastructure of the center with over 60 km of trimmed grounds for alpine skiing equipped with system of 21 ski lifts, as well as 20 km for Nordic skiing.

Sport activities: Within the Grand hotel has a common sport facility with sports grounds for basketball, volleyball, handball, football on small sports grounds and tennis, together with representative body building and fitness centers.


For summer season, Grand has arranged trim track about 3,000m long with exercise stops, winding from the Grand hotel through the most beautiful forest landscapes below Pancic`s and other surrounding peaks.


There are numerous open-air sports grounds for tennis, basketball, football on small sports grounds, handball and beach volley by the Grand hotel, Konaci Suncani Vrhovi and demolished hotel Baciste.


Information about arrangements: So, in winter and summer seasons Grand makes the most varied offers to its guests on skiing grounds and after skiing or other sport activities. In addition to `ordinary` skiing and reputable ski and snowboard schools, there are attractive sports grounds where skiing safari and special arrangement outside the trimmed tracks are organized, and a special `KOP CUP` is arranged for guests keen on competition.

After skiing, in addition to regular catering services, there are series of sports, sports-recreation, educational and entertaining programmes,, such as Sport Cafe, Internet Cafe, Cafe cinema, mini FEST programme, foreign language schools, computer schools, schools in the country and sports-recreation classes, various congresses, as well as special arrangements for the New Year celebration.

Within its varied offer, Telenet Tourist Center Kopaonik has excellent conditions for congress tourism throughout the whole year, as well. In addition to hotel and catering services, Grand has got a special polyvinyl Congress Center situated in the apartment area Konaci Suncani Vrhovi.

In the attractive Konaci tower there are as follows:

Hotel JUNIOR Brzece

Type of service: rent a congress hall, half pension [breakfast and dinner].

The "Junior" features 70 completely renovated rooms and 6 suites in its "A" and "B" wings accommodating up to 200 people. The hotel offers one-bed, two-bed and three-bed rooms, each with TV and satellite programs, internet access, telephone, fridge, safe deposit box, bathroom with toilet and a hair dryer. The suites can accommodate up to five people. Three-bed suites have a living room, bedroom and bathroom while the four or five-bed suites provide a living room, two bedrooms, a bathroom and a toilet. The thirty-four rooms in the "D" wing, each equipped with TV, telephone and a bathroom with a toilet can accommodate up to 100 people.


Hotel: 
The hotel parking lot with video surveillance and guards is available to the guests of the hotel "Junior". The hotel complex also has its own parking lot for buses. The spacious hotel lobby features a reception desk and the following amenities: lobby bar, video beam, satellite TV, pool hall, shop, ATM [cash machine], exchange office and business corner. Apartments Complex JAT

With all the major features within easy reach, Apartment Complex JAT are at the centre of the tourist resort, located 1,780 meters above sea level. Immediately above the complex is the Wing hotel Club and below it the Genex Konaci complex. The closest ski lifts, Pancicev vrh and Malo Lake, are just 80 meters hotel. A bank office, shop, ski service, and dispensary are available to hotel guests.

Hotel: 
The hotel is built in a traditional alpine style and has 136 suites. All suites are furnished with kitchenettes, including refrigerator, kitchenware, bathroom [TWC], telephone and colour TV with a large number of domestic and satellite channels. Prices are in euro].

Hotel was built in the mountain style and has 134 apartments of different structures for 1 to 6 persons. All apartments are equipped with mini-kitchen with refrigerator, all the necessary utensils and kitchen accessories, bathroom (TVC), a phone and TV with 9 digital and 5 analog programs.

Hotel guests have at their disposal a restaurant, shop, "games for children", ski-service, salon for a massage. Free Wireless Internet is available all around the hotel. We made the first Web camera at Kopaonik.

Genex Apartments Sunny Heights

Apartment area Konaci "Suncani Vrhovi" of six interconnected parts was built in the style of old monastery lodges with three to five floors each, closing the central trimmed square in semicircle. They are called after medieval Serbian cities: Maglic, Ras, Jelac, Zvecan, Koznik and Brvenik, and the entire residential area is a center of all events on Kopaonik.

About Kopaonik

Kopaonik, the biggest mountain of the central Serbia, spreads its wide mountain - ridge 83 km. long, in the direction from the mountainous region over Mitrovica, to the north - west over the series of peaks higer than 1600 m., to the highest part of the massif called Ravni Kopaonik (Flat Kopaonik) with the peaks: Gobelja (1934 m), Karman Vucak (1936 m), Suvo Rudiste (1976 m) and Pancicev Vrh (Pancic Peak) 2017 m.

The northern border of the massif is separated from the massif of the mountain Zeljina by the rivers Josanicka reka and Koznicka reka.


At the western side, along the whole Kopaonik mountain - ridge, the lbar gorge is placed. The eastern side is bounded by the rivers Rasina and Toplica valleys.

The region's geology dates back 70 million years ago when the older sedimentary rocks were exposed to the strong tectonic movements and to the volcano activity which caused dent and issue of the magmatic cliffs.


This is why Kopaonik distinguishes itself by its geological structure of rocks of different inception and age (granites, serpentinites, slates, marbles, andesites, lime - stones).

The later processes of erosion during past millenniums created present-day outlines of the relief of Kopaonik.

Climate of Kopaonik, with almost 200 sunny days annually, deserves credit for Kopaonik's other name - "mountain of the Sun". The southern position of the massif, level and openness of the terrain prevent continual detaining of cloudiness over the mountain. Colder and heavier air moves through the nearby valleys and ravines so that winter temperatures are not too low. Kopaonik has sub-alpine climate. Average annual temperature of the Flat Kopaonik is 3,7°C.

It starts snowing at the end of November and it snows until May, 159 days a year in average. On average, precipitation are higher than 1000 mm a year.


Kopaonik, where people used to work mines from old times, was named after its ore resources (kopati - to dig).

The volcano activity and discharge of hot mineral solutions caused changes on the nearby old rocks because of high temperatures and heavy pressures.That is how "mining region of Kopaonik" came to be, with a large number of mines from old times.

 In the Kopaonik region, besides the usual ores: metals iron, lead and zinc, there are rare metals silver and gold and rare minerals: volastonite,fluor-spar, asbestos and others. 


Thermal - mineral springs - spas are situated at the foothill of Kopaonik. Besides famous spas such as Vrnjaska Banja, Mataruska Banja, Sijarinska Banja, in the Kopaonik region there are springs of Josanicka Banja (t° 78°C), Lukovska Banja (t° 36t°-56°C) and Kursumlijska Banja (38°-57°C).

Besides thermal waters, there are also slightly mineralized waters on Kopaonik. In the first place, these are slightly radioactive springs Krcmar vode and Marine vode at the heights of 1700 -1950 m.
